About Equity Group
Equity Group Holdings is a financial services holding company based at Equity Centre, Upper Hill, Nairobi. It began in 1984 as Equity Building Society, became a bank in 2004 and listed on the NSE in 2006. Subsidiaries include Equity Bank Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania and South Sudan, Equity BCDC in DR Congo, Equitel, Equity Life Assurance and the Equity Afia clinics. Its shares are cross-listed in Uganda.
