Two exchange traded funds trade on the NSE like shares but track something outside Kenya: the Absa NewGold ETF, backed by physical gold, follows the dollar gold price converted to shillings, and the Satrix MSCI World Feeder ETF, listed in 2025, follows an index of developed-market shares. Neither is a Kenyan company, so their prices move with global markets and the shilling rather than with results or dividends. They are bought and sold through the same CDS account and broker as any share, with the same fees, and settle on T+3.
