About the Manufacturing & Allied sector

Nine producers, led by East African Breweries and BAT Kenya, two of the larger companies on the exchange, alongside Unga Group (flour and animal feed), Carbacid (carbon dioxide), BOC Kenya (industrial gases), Flame Tree Group, Africa Mega Agricorp, Shri Krishana Overseas (listed in July 2025) and Mumias Sugar, which remains suspended. Excise duty changes in each Finance Act, the cost of imported inputs, the shilling and household spending move the group. EABL and BAT report in different months and both have long dividend records, so their book-closure dates matter to many retail holders.
